Groove

Groove is a powerful music managing software, yet simple in its design. It is packed with features. It is the world's first artificially intelligent DJ. It will mix, manage and download intelligently.

^ Well that's the market description :D

I love creating music, but sadly I never played any instruments. For me, creating music has always been synthesized. (I now can play the guitar, piano and drums, huzzah) Therefore I used to make electronic music. But a lot of people wanted to "mix" songs. To see how easy it was, I challenged myself to make a computer "mix" songs. It was easy, and was completed.

I also challenged my design skills to make a neat and simple looking UI.

Groove uses beat detection and alignment algorithms to mix songs. It is relatively simple and creates playlists according to the most played songs. It creates this "Smart Playlist" and keeps songs organized.

Disclaimer: In no way is this a replacement for a DJ, it's just a fun experiment.
